Countryside Christian School is a ministry of Countryside Baptist Church. Christian Education has been a top priority of the Countryside Baptist Church for the past thirty-four years. Countryside Christian School was established in 1974 when Pastor Gene Keith led the members of Southside Baptist Church to start a Christian school. We believe God gave parents and the church the awesome responsibility of teaching children. Countryside Christian School is accredited by the Florida Council of Private Schools, Accelerated Christian Education International, and the National Association of Christian Education.
Countryside Christian School places emphasis upon the greatness of America’s heritage and the sacrifices of its heroes. We are proud to teach the Biblical doctrines of self-discipline, respect for authority, obedience to the law, and love for God, our flag, and our country. All students are required to memorize and recite the following three pledges.
1. American Flag: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
2. Christian Flag: “I pledge allegiance to the Christian flag and to the Savior for whose kingdom it stands. One Savior, crucified, risen, and coming again, with life and liberty for all who believe.”
3. Bible: “I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God’s Holy Word. I will make it a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I will hide its words in my heart that I might not sin against God.”
